Democrats who control the Pennsylvania House of Representatives are in no hurry to fill the vacant seat of former state Rep. Bob Mensch. The special election won't be held until May 2010.
The public rational is that a special election would be too costly, but let's face it. Having one less Republican in the House does help the Democrats in close votes.
