Employment Policies Institute: Rethink Health Care Reform

"With the national debt about to top $12 trillion and a debilitating unemployment rate exceeding 10 percent, an impenetrable 2,000 page health care reform plan, such as the one under debate in Congress, poses grave dangers for our economy," said Richard Berman, executive director of the Employment Policies Institute. "Politicians who claim these reforms won't dig us deeper into debt are using, as Dr. June O'Neill says in our commercial, 'accounting gimmicks.'"

Berman continued, "Only in Washington could a plan that hurts seniors, young workers and millions of job creators still be called reform."
