The Day After

Some good stuff on the Pennsylvania blogosphere about the "mandate" for government-run health care that passed the House of Representatives by a whopping 2-vote margin late Saturday night.

From PAWaterCooler:
Once again, the American people have allowed themselves to be played for fools by our “representatives” in Congress. This time we fell for Nancy Pelosi’s stratagem of allowing a vote on the Stupak Amendment, which was never anything but a trick.

The vehemently pro-abortion Pelosi appeared to graciously allow a vote on the pro-life amendment to her health care bill as a show of good faith. But those of us who know better know that Pelosi is nothing but a conniver who always gets what she wants. And she didn’t want the Stupak Amendment in her bill.

From Bucks County Conservative Examiner:
The House version of Healthcare HR 3962 narrowly passed with votes being 220-215. Score one for Obama White House. Let's all hope the Senate has sense enough to vote this down. Do they listen to America?

From Bucks Right:
We're all Socialists now.

Democrat Representative cheer as they've done their part to getting their hands on 18% of the private sector, jacking up taxes, and killing jobs even as Unemployment tops 10%.

On the bright side, we have less than 365 days until we can vote every single one of them out.

For the record, not that it even needs to be said because everyone knows he does whatever Nancy Pelosi tells him to do, but Patrick Murphy of course voted in favor of $700 billion in new taxes and cutting $500 billion from Medicare. He owns it, just like the rest of them. I hope he enjoys the last year and two months of his time in Congress.
