Jack Wagner Takes Another Shot at Ed Rendell

Pennsylvania Auditor General Jack Wagner is sounding more and more like a gubernatorial candidate every day.

Wagner, a Democrat, released a scathing audit today faulting the Rendell Administration's $592 million in contracts with Deloitte Consulting.

"The Department of General Services, which has primary responsibility for bidding contracts and monitoring the performance of vendors, simply fell down on the job with regard to Deloitte Consulting," Wagner said in a press release.

Can Wagner win the Democratic primary nomination in 2010 by running against the abuses of the Rendell Administration? Maybe. It worked for Barack Obama in 2008 when he ran against George W. Bush.
