Can a guy living in Md. run for a senate seat in Pa.?

GrassrootsPa offers definite proof today that former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge is a resident of Chevy Chase, Md.

That would make it a little difficult for Ridge to run for a U.S. Senate seat in Pennsylvania, don't you think?

I wrote about Ridge's residency question last week when all the news broke about Arlen Specter switching parties.

That's why I don't think Ridge is going to make a run for Specter's Senate seat.

Moving back to Pennsylvania is probably not something Ridge wants to do. It's not like the GOP bosses in Pennsylvania can clear the field for Ridge, either. He still would have to get past Pat Toomey in a primary and that's no sure thing.

Maybe Tom Ridge has a Hawaii birth certificate and can run anyway.

Living in Maryland did seem to be a problem when you supported Rick Santorum.
