Liberals dominate PA Congressional delegation

HT to the Save The GOP blog for a post on the most recent Congressional rankings by The American Conservative Union.

In the House, the following members of the Pennsylvania delegation scored zero, which means they're as liberal as you get:

Rep. Bob Brady, D-1st Dist.; Rep. Chaka Fatah, D-2nd Dist.; and Rep. Joe Sestak, D-7th Dist.

Not far behind were such liberal luminaries as Rep. Patrick Murphy, D-8th Dist.; Rep. John Murtha, D-12th Dist.; Rep. Allyson Schwartz, D-13th Dist.; and Rep. Mike Doyle, D-14th Dist.

Over in the Senate, Democrat Bob Casey was ranked as one of the most liberal members. No surprise there. Republican Sen. Arlen Specter was in the middle of the pack, surprising for one of the most notorious RINOs in Congress.

Also of note, Sen. Hillary Clinton and Sen. Barack Obama finished among the most liberal members of the Senate in the 2007 ACU rankings.

Brady's and Fattah's ratings can be expected, as they represent two of the most liberal districts in the country.

But Sestak's rating is simply unconscionable and deeply disturbing. He's representing a marginally Democratic 7th District (D+4), yet he has a 0 ACU rating. Of course, congressional rankings can be problematic measures of partisanship. But we've seen time and time again that Sestak is incredibly liberal.

We must defeat Sestak. Please, everyone, check out Craig Williams's website. He's an incredible, Republican challenger in the 7th. He's a Gulf War veteran, a Marine (once a Marine, always a Marine!), accomplished advisor to the NSC and JCS, and a brilliant federal prosecutor. More importantly, he's one of us and has the well-grounded judgment and temperament to represent us--both areas in which Sestak has failed us miserably.
