Rendell taser comments 'unnecessary'

Pennsylvania has run up $4.25 billion in budget deficits over the past two years, needs to come up with another $3 billion for transportation funding and a few billion more to deal with the looming public pension crisis.

So what is Gov. Ed Rendell spending time on?

He's offering his 2 cents over the recent Taser incident of a fan who ran onto the field at a Phillies game.

Good way to keep those priorities in order, Ed.

Columnist Kevin Cramsey is also disgusted with the governor's behavior.

From a new post at Examiner.com:
He's not the mayor of Philadelphia anymore, so it's not really his call.

And since the act of a nitwit running onto a baseball field is hardly cause for gubernatorial intervention, one has to wonder why Mr. Rendell had to inject himself into this story.

Perhaps the lure of the TV cameras is just too great.

Fast Eddie never met a camera he didn't like especially now that he has been putting out resumes and getting his clown act on target. His latest joke is solving the 1.1 billion dollar State deficit with a tax on smokeless tobacco.

Naturally, he is supporting this family because they are sterotypical of the mental capacity of the people who voted him in.
