Newspaper: PA taxpayers spend $10M a year to maintain 15,947 state vehicles

Anyone know a cheap mechanic?

Brad Bumsted and Jeremy Boren of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review report that state taxpayers spend almost $10 million a year to maintain 15,947 vehicles, which Democrat and Republican candidates for governor say they will review for potential reductions in 2011.

Auditor General Jack Wagner revealed last year that the actual cost -- including purchase prices -- totals about $70 million, says the newspaper.
