62% Say U.S. on Wrong Track

Right Direction or Wrong Track?

Rasmussen Reports asks that question every month and the majority of Americans continue to believe Barack Obama and Congressional Democrats are taking this country on the wrong track.

From Rasmussen Reports:
Thirty-two percent (32%) of U.S. voters now say the country is heading in the right direction, according to the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.

That marks a modest uptick after two months of decline that culminated last week in a finding of 29%, the lowest since February 2009.

The majority of voters (62%) continue to believe the nation is heading down the wrong track, down five points from the last survey. In the weeks just prior to Barack Obama's election, however, more than 80% of voters felt that way.

The percentage of voters who felt the country is heading in the right direction remained in the narrow range of 31% to 35% from July to early November. From late November until the end of 2009, confidence in the country’s current course steadily declined.
