Emperor Rendell has new clothes
Several people have inquired about the origin of this terrific depiction of the scantilly-clad Emperor Edward G. Rendell. The artist is Vicki Rhodier of Mount Penn, Pa., a talented artist who has become politically active since the 2005 pay raise. Rhodier sent this drawing to Emperor Rendell last month along with a note asking the governor when he will deliver on his many promises to bring property tax relief to Pennsylvania residents. She still hasn't received a reply from the governor. Like the fictional Emperor who has no clothes, Emperor Rendell keeps changing his clothes every time he makes another promise. As you can see from the empty hangers around his throne, Emperor Rendell has run out of clothes, just like he's run out of excuses for five years of failure to deliver property tax relief to Pennsylvania homeowners.
