The North Coventry Environmental Advisory Council will be holding its 5th annual Earth Day cleanup on Saturday, April 19 (rain date Saturday, April 26).
Volunteers will meet at the Norco Fire Hall on Route 724 at 9 a.m. (Gloves, trash bags and water will be available. Volunteers will then proceed to various locations in the township to pick up litter and trash along the roads and streets.)
If you cannot attend this organized event, the council urges people to take a few moments and clean up the road near your home or business. If you are part of an organization that participates in Pennsylvania's Adopt a Highway Program, the council recommends scheduling cleanups to coincide with this Earth Day cleanup.
Call Bill Cannon of the North Coventry Environmental Advisory Council at 610-326-3918 if you have any questions, or if you have any suggested sites that need cleaning up.
