Lutheran Day at the Pennsylvania Capitol

Lutherans throughout Pennsylvania recently gathered at the Capitol Building in Harrisburg to meet with local representatives and discuss current issues before the Pennsylvania Legislature.

Following a breakfast meeting with state representatives, the Hon. Bob Mensch, R-Montgomery, presented a Pennsylvania flag flown over the Capitol Building to the Upper Perkiomen Child Care Center of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Red Hill.

UPCCC is an early childhood educational and after-school ministry of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Red Hill serving 125 families of the Upper Perkiomen Valley in northern Montgomery County. The flag will fly near the main entrance of the congregation's child care center.

The keynote speaker this year at Lutheran Day at the Capital was Ralston Deffenbaugh, president of the Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service.
