I may be one of the few people who actually reads newspaper endorsements of political candidates (and I've written some myself).
But I've never read a more bizarre endorsement editorial than the one in The Philadelphia Inquirer for the 1st Pennsylvania Senate District (the seat Vince Fumo is giving up).
The Inquirer editorial board spends the entire time telling what's wrong with each of the three Democratic candidates instead of giving you a single reason to vote for any of the candidates.
Under no circumstances should anyone vote for John Dougherty, the newspaper says, and don't bother voting for Anne Dicker because she has no chance of winning.
Essentially, the editorial says you should vote for Larry Farnese because he's not either of the other two candidates.
Read the editorial for yourself and see if it makes any sense.
