PA GOP using Obama 'bitter' comment to raise money

That didn't take long. The Pennsylvania Republican Party is using Sen. Barack Obama's "bitter" comments in San Fransisco as a way to rally the GOP and raise a few bucks along the way.

Pennsylvania Republican Party Chairman Robert A. Gleason Jr. has put out a fundraising plea Monday that goes like this: "Like many of you, I continue to be astounded by Democrat Presidential candidate Barack Obama most recent comments, which took a shot at every single hardworking Pennsylvanian, and find it shocking that he continues to stand by them. I released a statement late last night and my outrage was covered in a Washington Post story detailing Obama's absolutely disrespectful remarks. To continue getting this message out, we are going to need your help! Please consider donating just $2000, $1000, $500, $250, $100, $50 or even $5 so that we can continue to let the rest of America know just how offensive these comments really are to the hardworking people of Pennsylvania!"

In a separate release, Gleason said he continues to be "astounded by Democrat Presidential candidate Barack Obama recent comments, which took a shot at every single hardworking Pennsylvanian, and finds it shocking that he continues to stand by them."
"Barack Obama continues to prove that he doesn't represent many of the strong values Pennsylvanians hold dear," Gleason said. "Many Pennsylvanians, including myself, take great pride in their faith and believe in their Constitutional right to bear arms. Many communities in the Keystone State share these core principles, and I think it says a lot about Barack Obama that he sees our strong beliefs in these customs as signs of frustration and bitterness."
According to a transcript of Obama's statements at a fundraiser in San Francisco, he described Pennsylvanians as bitter gun-toting, racist, religious fanatics, Gleason says.

"You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them ... And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations." Taken together with the Rev. Wright controversy, Obama's friendship with other far-left extremists and Michelle Obama's comments about not having any pride in her country until 2008, there's a pattern emerging. Obama is a liberal elitist who panders to the Left Coast and East Coast elites. He's anti-military, anti-2nd Amendment and pro-abortion. He's basically a younger, less experienced version of John Kerry.
