If the race came down to endorsements, Lance Rogers would be the Republican nominee to run in Pennsylvania's 17th state Senate District.
Rogers continues to collect endorsements from Republican leaders in Montgomery and Delaware counties as he gets closer to the April 22 showdown with Lisa Paolino.
The Lance Rogers for Senate Campaign announced today the endorsements of Mayor Jerry Nicola (Bridgeport), Board of Supervisors Chair Lewis McQuirns (East Norriton), Board of Commissioners President Bill Wechsler (Haverford), Board of Commissioners President Scott Sibley (Upper Merion) and Republican Party Area Chairs Marilyn Vaccarello (Area 5) and Tracey Specter (Area 7).
I may have lost count along the way, but I believe Rogers is leading Paolino in the endorsement race by at least a 3-1 margin.
"As a neighbor of ours just across County Line Road we are proud to throw our support behind Lance Rogers," said Commissioners' President Wechsler of Haverford Township, the second largest town in the 17th district and one of only two towns located in Delaware County. "We are excited about his campaign because he offers Republicans the best opportunity to win back this seat in the fall."
Last month, Rogers received the endorsement from both the Montgomery and Delaware County Republican parties. Since that time, numerous Republican officials have rallied around his candidacy, including Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Ferman and Delaware County Councilman Andy Lewis both of whom have agreed to serve as co-chairs of his Campaign.

LOL, and what is even more fun Tony? The totally off the meds letter from Mimi Auchincloss from Radnor GOP. It's in the local papers, and it is a hoot - hopefully it will go online at the JRC sites in the 17th district. If the race were run on WHINING then the divine Ms. P would win. As it stands, Mimi, the delightful old gal seems like she needs a stiff drink :<} (and Bill from Writemarsh will get a kick out of the fact she refers to his blog in the letter)
I'm not endorsing anyone for the 17th Senate District. I'm trying to give the two GOP candidates equal access to getting information about their campaigns to potential voters. I do believe that the GOP has a golden opportunity to take this seat away from the Democrats, so I would like to see a Republican elected instead of far left tax-and-spend liberal Daylin Leach, but it's up to GOP voters on April 22 whether Rogers or Paolino is the party nominee.
tony, who is saying you are endorsing? no one has, have they?
Maybe Lisa will get her own house if she wins the primary?
Did Lance really intern for Clinton?
Isn't it pretty standard after someone "wins the endorsement" of their district to get endorsements from most of the people already in office in their party? I always got the impression politicians will pretty much tow the party line in terms of this stuff. I prefer to make up my own mind as best I can by either reading the papers, watching/listening to interviews, etc. Not go by what some other politician/interest group tells me.
With all the trouble Montco seems to have been having, is it such a good thing for Lance that he was endorsed by so many of them at this time?
he's good at taking their money, advice, and endorsements and then claiming to be for change. can't have it both ways. and who wants to brag about being affiliated with a SKANK like ken davis??
Only a woman can be a skank. He is getting endorsements because he is perceived as the best for change.
If she who would be Madonna "had it", she'd have all those endorsements.
"Only a woman can be a skank."
Exactly!!! Thanks for confirming what many speculated.
