Bill Clinton visit costs small town $6,000

The party's over. It's time for the hangover.

Did you ever wonder what it costs a community when a big-name politician pays a visit? Get out your calculator.

Former President Bill Clinton's March 27 visit to Pottstown to campaign for his wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton, cost the community about $6,000, according to reporter Evan Brandt, writing in The Mercury.

While $6,000 is nothing to say a former president who made $109 million since leaving the White House, it's a significant bill for a small town.

There's a lot of potholes that won't get filled this spring. You can thank Bubba Clinton for that.

Did anybody think to say "no" when the Clinton campaign called to say they were paying a visit?
