Ann Coulter speaks at Penn State

I was curious to see what kind of reaction Ann Coulter would receive at Penn State, considering how unhinged the far left gets any time Coulter and other conservative pundits speak at colleges and universities.

To my pleasant surprise, Coulter's appearance at PSU appears to have gone off without a hitch. There was a smattering of boos and catcalls from the audience, but only 3 hysterical lefties had to be removed from the audience by campus police, according to news accounts. That's a lot better than the goons have rushed the stage to throw pies at Coulter at other campuses.

And the local newspaper, the Centre Daily Times, appears to have given Coulter a fair shake in its coverage:
Coulter, the sharp-tongued author and commentator, drew more than 800 people for her second appearance at the Penn State main campus, the newspaper sates. Her first appearance, in 2004, inspired occasional boos, shouts and verbal confrontations among bands of Coulter supporters and critics.
Read this account of her talk in the Centre Daily Times.

Penn State's student-run newspaper, The Daily Collegian, also covered Coulter's speech.

Keith Stamm should consider proposing that Ann Coulter speak at Reading High School for some Memorial Day assembly. I can just picture it now :)
