'District 9' tops weekend box office

"District 9," a low-budget sci-fi film produced by Peter Jackson, topped the weekend box office with an estimated $37.0 million haul, according to BoxOfficeMojo.com

Not blockbuster ticket sales, but the film actually made back its $30 million production costs on its first weekend.
