Homeschooling numbers slipping in PA

From an article by Daveen Rae Kurutz in The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review:
The number of homeschooled children dropped by 5.6 percent in the past five years, from 24,076 in 2003-24 to 22,720 during the 2007-08 school year, according to the latest state data available. National data show the number of homeschooled children increased 7 percent last year. Just one county in the region -- Somerset -- experienced growth over that time, by four students or 1.8 percent.
One experts believes the growth in cyber schools and charter schools has cut into the homeschooling numbers.
