Ex-Reading man jailed for stalking Jennifer Garner

Reading, Pa., makes national news again, but not in a good way. At least it doesn't involve Jon and Kate Gosselin this time.

A man who wandered the streets of Reading dressed like a monk and gained national notoriety for stalking Hollywood actress Jennifer Garner has been imprisoned in California on charges he violated a restraining order obtained by Garner.

Steven R. Burky, 37, whose last known address was on North Ninth Street, was arrested by Santa Monica police Monday at the nursery school where Violet Affleck, one of Garner's two daughters with husband Ben Affleck, is enrolled.

Police say Burky is in the Santa Monica Jail in lieu of $150,000 bail.

Garner was granted a restraining order against Burky in November 2008 after she told the court she believed he was a threat to her and her family.
