Declare war on corporate greed

The Consumer Education Foundation says it's time to get physical with the folks who run AIG, the poster-child for bad corporate behavior.

The usually peaceful consumer advocacy group is urging the U.S. government to "take control of AIG, abrogate its employee compensation contracts, and suspend all payments on credit default swaps until information concerning these matters is made available to the public and a judgment can be made whether any further bailouts are necessary."

Absolutely, I'm sure if AIG was only force to oversight by the federal government, then there would be greater transparency ... scratch that - greater accountability to taxpayers ... scratch that - an end to rewarding failure ...

Wait, are we sure this is a good idea?
