Ooops! He never said that

Below is a correction The Associated Press is asking newspapers that ran a Sept. 19 story on the embattled ACORN group to share with their readers.

If you read it carefully, you realize that The Washington Post made up quote that the AP used in its version of the ACORN story.
Correction: ACORN's Troubles

WASHINGTON (AP) — In a Sept. 19 story about the community organizing group ACORN, The Associated Press, based on an account in The Washington Post, erroneously quoted a conservative journalist saying he targeted the organization for hidden-camera videos because its voter-registration drives bring minority voters to the polls.

The Washington Post on Tuesday printed a correction about the quote. Although ACORN registers people mostly from those groups, the maker of the videos, James E. O'Keefe, did not specifically mention minorities, the newspaper said.
Do you think the reporter for one of the most liberal newspapers in the country would just make up a quote to make a conservative look bad? Another addition to the bursting liberal media bias file.
