Obama is finally going to take a stand and block Congress from eliminating the automatically triggered $1.2 trillion in cuts. That will conspicuously make Obama the only adult in DC. Congress couldn't do it the first time, so they created the super-committee and created their own consequences for failure. Now that they've failed they plan to repeal the consequences that they established. The whole thing is incredibly juvenile.
If, and it's certainly a big "if", Obama holds the line on the cuts, then he will be the only one who's shown any seriousness and discipline in cutting the deficit. What will the GOP have to say about that when their Reps and Senators are scrambling to scrap the cuts and taxes and make the deficit bigger?
