The Pennsylvania legislature has not exactly distinguished itself with a House that has 203 members. With a 150-member House, it's unlikely to do any worse making laws, and it could save some money in the process.Read the full editorial at the newspaper's website.
How about just keeping the same number of reps, but cutting their staff size and office budgets? That will keep them more accountable and take away the professional vote-buying operations. Example: My rep. boasts of having his staff handle certain motor vehicles paperwork that really should be - and is - done by AAA and various private individuals.
