We heard so much during the 2008 campaign how rich John and Cindy McCain were, but do you remember any reporting by the left-wing media about those other multi-millionaires, Barack and Michelle Obama?
The "man of the people," the community organizer who grew up on the streets of Chicago, and his wife earned $2.7 million last year, according to federal tax returns released by the White House on April 15.
That's a little better than minimum wage, isn't it?
Financially speaking, 2008 was a bad year for the Obama household. The previous year, the Obamas reported income of $4.2 million.
The median household income in the U.S. is $50,000. The Obamas are just like you and me.
The good news is that the Obamas did pay their federal income taxes to the tune of $855,323, or 32 percent of their income. That's more than you can say about half the tax-chearing Obama cabinet, including the guy who runs the IRS.
Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, earned $269,256 last year, according to their tax returns. That might qualify them for federal assistance by Washington, D.C., standards.
That income for the most partcame from the books Obama has written - without any editorial assistance - so I would think that as a writer you should not begrudge it so much. Not very intelligent of you to do so in my opinion!

Doesn't sound like he's begrudging anything except the fact that the Dems and their lapdog media spent so much time decrying John McCain for being wealthy during the campaign.
