The Philadelphia Business Journal takes a look at the growing trend in the Philadelphia area, spurred by the recent rise in energy prices.
Most of the government offices experimenting with the four-day work week are county and municipal offices, according to the Business Journal.

Pennsylvania has no plans to follow the state of Utah in implementing a four-day work week, though some of the 78,000 state employees under Gov. Ed Rendell have flexible time. The state is looking into a commuter benefits program as a means of providing relief from high gas prices, Mia DeVane, a spokeswoman from the Office of Administration said.
